Remarks
JEANETTE
Probably, forced by circumstances, not always
the correct seeds of the type plant are spread; that's why in
collections there are many plants with a anaberrant phenotype present.

Short plant description
Diameter of the culture plant is ca. 11 cm.
Plant height without cephalium 7,5 cm.
The colour of the epidermis is gray/green.
Number of ribs 13.
Number of areoles per rib is 5 on plants with cephalium.
The shape of the areoles is round.
The number of radial spines is 8.
The length of 2 spines upwards is 0.5 cm, the length of the 4 spines
sidewards and 1 downwards is 1.5
cm.
The shape of the spines is recurved backwards to the plant, the colour
is amber with a dark tip.
The colour of the cephalium is cream.
In the cephalium are many red/brown bristles, especially along the
margin.
The colour of the fruit is cream/white.
The position of the stigma is at the primary stamens.
This plant clearly differs from the
type that's discribed by Mr. Buining. Consequently the name-giving
must be doubted.
In the past lots of plants with
this phenotype were distributed with this name. It's recommended to
collect again seeds of HU 198 in it's habitat and to sow them.
